It is a day that we all knew was coming. Brett Favre has announced his retirement from professional football. Packer fans all around are certainly going to miss having him and look into the future with uncertainty as the Aaron Rodgers era begins. But his day is tomorrow, today is for Brett Favre.
I know I certainly didn't expect him to retire after having the year he did. I was hoping to add just a few tweaks to the team here and there and then see us head into the Super Bowl, allowing Brett to ride off into the sunset with another ring. Alas, that will not happen. The 17 years of football and 275 consecutive starts have taken their toll. Well, I know I certainly will miss seeing him play.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this years Super Bowl Bash so much fun! I'm sure glad the rain held off, but we were prepared for it anyway. Just a few more days until the Annual Super Bowl Bash!! The game will be between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. The Patriots are on the "Path to Perfection" Seeking the only 19-0 undefeated season including post season play.* (see the footnote below for a bit of football trivia/history) The Giants won the right to play in the Super Bowl after defeating the Packers in overtime... yes, my Packers.... I'm still getting over the game... so close...
